Audiotour Exhibition “Hryhorii Orlyk: the outstanding son of an outstanding father of Ukraine. Return to the Motherland”

Exhibition “Hryhorii Orlyk: the outstanding son of an outstanding father of Ukraine. Return to the Motherland” was opened in the palace of Hetman Kyrylo Rozumovskyi in 2019.

The concept of the exhibition project is based on Iryna Dmytryshyn's research “Hryhorii Orlyk, or the Cossack nation in French diplomacy”. The rule of Kyrylo Rozumovskyi coincided with the active phase of hetman's son Hryhorii Orlyk's activity in Europe.

This is the first exhibition project in the history of Ukraine dedicated to Hryhorii Orlyk, an outstanding marshal and diplomat of the French King Louis XV. His longstanding activity was aimed at implementing the interests of Ukraine and France, at gaining the freedom of the “Cossack nation”, diplomatic and military victories of France. Hryhorii Orlyk's life journey began from Baturyn under the rule of Ivan Mazepa, where he was born in 1702. Hryhorii Orlyk can be an example of loyalty to the Motherland, loyalty to the paternal heritage, and worthy service of high ideals.
