If you want a nice, long walk along Jūrciemi beach from Bigauņciems all the way to Ragaciems, we invite you to visit the cinema stops along the way.

Many of the beloved Latvian films were shot in Lapmežciem parish - the seaside landscape from Bigauņciem to Ragaciem. Such feature films as "The Fisherman's Son", "Shadow of Death", "The Long Road in the Dunes" and others have captured authentic history. In them, we can still observe natural scenes, people, buildings, fishing skills, which nowadays have often already changed or died due to the ravages of time.

Because of this reason, nowadays it is often difficult to descry places in nature with a specific film and the scenes shown in it. The coast line has changed.

But despite that - we invite you to walk the cinema trail, enjoy the joy of the searcher and try to imagine the filming process in the environment of that time. And who knows - maybe this walk accompanied by an audio guide will be the impetus to watch the movies again!

The audio guide project has been implemented by the Jūrciemi Residents' Society, and it was possible thanks to Rural Support Service of Latvia support, which funded the project "Klausāmtakas - creation of an audio guide in Lapmežciems parish", no. No. 22-08-AL01-A019.2202-000006.
