The population is 17,000 inhabitants. Lamballe was originally the capital of the Duchy of Penthièvre in Brittany. Steeped in history, the city is today the ideal gateway to the sea, thanks to the SNCF station served by the TGV line which places Paris approximately 2 hours away.
