The historical route of Villedieu les Poêles is the ideal way to discover the history and architecture of the town. You can discover the origins and rich history of Villedieu at your own pace. 
 
This walking tour is made up of historical panels explaining and illustrating the remarkable heritage of the historic centre of the City of Copper and a bronze marker on the ground guiding you from one point to another along the route. 

Villedieu, the first hospital commandery in what is now France, but also the seat of an atypical brotherhood of coppersmiths since the end of the Middle Ages, is full of nooks and crannies that few people venture into. Just like the 35 old workshop courtyards, each one as charming as the next. A unique heritage in La Manche.
