Link kopierenPIerre Soulages, whose works are exhibited in nearly 90 museums all over the world, was born in 1919. He is a major figure of abstract art. Whith is wife, Colette, he donated a total of more 500 works of art to Rodez, his birthplace.
These works reveal the various stages of his career, including painting on canvas and paper, as well as prints and the cardboard models of the stained-glass windows he designed for the Conques abbey church.
The museum also features a vast temporary exhibition gallery designed for events of national and international scales.
