University Of Connecticut

The University of Connecticut is creating a Blue Heritage Trail by integrating information resources related to Connecticut’s maritime history, cultures, economy, ecology and scientific endeavors.  The trail is designed to help users to understand how individuals and communities have negotiated and elaborated their relationships with the maritime environment of Connecticut in the past, present, and future.  Cultural and historical dimensions of the Blue Heritage trail will be complemented by attention to geographical, economic, and ecological issues relating to the human-nature intersection of Connecticut’s maritime world.
