Its the biggest in terms of land mass, it claims the highest waterfall in all of Central Asia - Shaar waterfall. And it serves as a primary destination for thousands of tourists due to its several alpine lakes - Son-Kul, Kol-Suu and Chatyr-Kol lakes. Naryn also has the longest river in country, the Naryn River at over 800km long.
Today Naryn has a population of about 40,000 people packed in along Lenin Street, a 14 km stretch of road along the valley floor. Often referred to as the the city of one street, take time in this seemingly simple city to learn of its rich history on this self guided tour offered by CBT Naryn.

Guidebooks rarely position Naryn as interesting or worth a longer stay. This audioguide proves them different! Naryn is a cool town - with lots to see and experience - and it was great to have an opportunity to walk its streets and learn its history, info on key attractions and monuments, etc. Would highly recommend this free walking tour to anyone visiting the city!!!
