Morgan State University

Morgan State University, a coeducational institution, has been designated as Maryland’s public urban university with the responsibility of addressing the needs of residents, schools, and organizations within the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. Founded in 1867, it is the largest of the historically black institutions of higher learning in Maryland. The School of Global Journalism and Communication opened in the fall of 2013. It offers innovative teaching, cutting edge research, and exemplary service to Maryland, the nation, and the world.
