Stirbey-Florescu Castle, the oldest holiday residence in Sinaia, was built in the year 1875, after the plans of the dutch architect Josef Jacob Schieffelleers. In December 2015, Sinaia City Museum was inaugurated, becoming the newest museum on Prahova Valley.  Here, the local stories and historical dates meet each other under a modern and unique design concept.

The exhibits are donated by local residents and local institutions, such as: Peles Museum, Sinaia Monastery, Saint Ilie church, Sinaia Casino, Sinaia City Hall, Bucegi Natural Park, Carmen Sylva Cultural Center Sinaia and Venice Simplon-Orient Express Company.

In the “Aristocratic saloon”, you can admire a part from the “Zestrea” art and costumes exhibitions, signed by the designer Liliana Turoiu.

After the visit tour, we invite you at Stirbey coffee house, where you can enjoy a coffee with the city flavor.

The last stop is in the Castle’s garden, a wonderful place to relax.

    Pentru turiștii orașului Sinaia: va recomand sa începeți sejurul aflând istoria locurilor unde urmează sa va petreceți câteva zile. Pentru locuitori: este obligatoriu ca fiecare localnic sa treacă pragul muzeului pentru a cunoaște istoria locului unde-și petrece viata de zi cu zi.
