О музее
The Army Aviation Cultural Center, located in the city of Taubate, state of São Paulo, is based in a mansion that dates back to the first facilities built in the area of Forte Ricardo Kirk.
On the occasion of the celebrations of the Centennial of Military Aviation in 2019 and with the need to select, rescue, preserve and disseminate the historical, material and immaterial collection of the Army Aviation, the mansion underwent an extensive restoration and adaptation process to meet the demands of a new challenge, being reactivated on August 29, 2019 as the headquarters of the Army Aviation Cultural Center, becoming, from then on, the guardian of the history of the Wings of the Land Force.
The Army Aviation Cultural Center aims to showcase, through its collection, the history of the Air Force, from its beginnings, with the use of tethered balloons by Duque de Caxias in the War of the Triple Alliance in 1867, the unprecedented use of airplanes by then Lieutenant Ricardo Kirk in the Contestado War in 1915, Military Aviation between 1919 and 1941 and Army Aviation from 1986 to the present day.
Welcome to the Army Aviation Cultural Center.
