博物馆 Casa Museo Caripa

In the historic center of this ancient town in a building dating back to the medieval period (probably one of the control tower of the nearby Porta di Piazza, the ancient road leading to Piazza Armerina and then reused over the centuries as a private residence) in March 2014 was inaugurated the House Museum Caripa.

The House Museum was set up to preserve, tell and pass on the domestic life of a whole century (from the ‘800 to the end of '900). Crossing the main door has a "dip" in the past, plummeting back decades.

Visiting the House Museum Caripa, is not only useful to raise awareness of a rare and important collection of furniture, furnishings, objects, documents and clothes, dating back to the late 1800 - early 1900, but also because the history of its formation, that falls within the framework of promotion, enhancement of the Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Club for UNESCO of Enna, can teach many things. Inside the home there are objects of various genres, and all in the same rooms, so as to give an overall idea of the social life of our ancestors and its development, these give the house a realistic look and impressive, through an exhibition, in which various objects become subjects of live and active communication, as they were at the time.
