Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation that engages both local community and international stakeholders in the creation of sustainable programs that have long-term positive socio-economic impact for Armenia and that strengthen its relevance as a global nation. The aim of the initiative is to restore the identity, the prosperity and Armenia’s standing in the world.
IDeA acts as a transparent and efficient implementation platform for donors, partners and investors. The blended financing and impact investing model includes 768 donors and 40 countries, who are involved in the development of Armenia. With clear strategic priorities and a global perspective for Armenia’s progress, IDeA has created 9 development models as a platform for its programs and projects. The models are tourism, urban development, cultural heritage preservation, identity engagement, agri-agro, education, healthcare, technology and financial infrastructure.

Gyumri Development Program
Gyumri is one of the 5 strategic directions identified by the Armenia 2020 Initiative and has particular strategic importance for the North of Armenia.
Gyumri, due to its strategic geographic location, access to the international airport, railroad and main highways, rich cultural heritage and touristic attractions, booming IT and high-tech industry contributes to the development of the city and the tourism in Armenia.
