Introduction:

Our crew of talented guides narrate our Audio Adventure Tours so that you can experience and learn more about Denver's unique history, architecture, and landmarks on your own time and at your own pace.

Denver's beautiful European-inspired architecture shines on this tour's stops in our Civic Center and Capitol Hill areas in Denver. Together, we'll explore all of Capitol Hill and Civic Center's rich history, including heists, Denver's controversial early leaders, and more.

This is a fun opportunity for local Denverites and Coloradans to see the Mile High City from a completely new perspective and gives our visitors a chance to get an inside and exclusive look at our city away from the tourist traps. 

This Audio Adventure takes you on a visit to the Colorado State Capitol, longest street in America, gorgeous Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, infamous Molly Brown House, Clyfford Still Museum, Byers-Evans House, old Carnegie library, U.S. Mint and it's heists, ending at the old Fire Station #1.

Hello and thank you for joining us on tour today! My name is Cami Kostecki and on behalf of all of us at Denver Walking Tours I want to welcome you to The Mile High City! Whether you are a first-time visitor, a new resident to Denver, or a lifelong Colorado native, I hope you’ll enjoy your walk around part of the Capitol Hill Neighborhood and The Civic Center area and perhaps even learn something new about Denver, the Queen City of the Plains!  

This route will include a little bit less than a mile and a half of walking, at relatively flat terrain.  And, I will offer commentary at several sites designed to introduce you to the city of Denver, its history, its characters and their stories, and its culture.

Depending on how long you take to enjoy each site and the pace at which you walk, the tour will take approximately an hour to an hour and twenty minutes or so.  We’ve tried to include some of the route’s most interesting locations, and we truly hope that you love the experience!
