Audiotour a. Introduction

The Universiti Brunei Darussalam Botanical Research Centre (UBD BRC) stands as the inaugural botanical garden in Brunei Darussalam, dedicated to the exploration of research, education, and conservation of Brunei's exceptionally hyper diverse flora. A sprawling six-hectare forest expanse within the UBD campus, the botanical garden serves as a sanctuary for over 500 species of tropical plants, a majority of which came from the rich biodiversity of Brunei Darussalam and Borneo. It is one of the research centres under the care of the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (IBER) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). Notably, UBD BRC is a member of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI).
