Audiotour OLEG TENIAEV

Oleg Tenyaev (born in 1960) is a Petersburg painter who continues the traditions of Russian realism painting. He entered the Academy of Art in 1986, where E.Moiseenko, P.Fomin, V.Zagonek and S.Kichko were his teachers. The classical artistic approach is a foundation of his creative way, however he could find his proper light writing. The keystone of his paintings is the mood of the nature. You can notice the air fluctuation and the light twinkling in all its works, be it a portrait, still-life or genre painting.

Tenyaev is rather susceptible to the color nuances and thus he has a large palette, clear and bright, with multiple tinges made with the pastose strokes of the brush. He works a lot on the plein-air and you can see the open nature views on his canvas from Crimea, Ural and Ladoga. He also dedicated his works to Saint Petersburg, opening its mystic beauty from the different sights.
