Über das Museum
A church always stands next to a convent, not because it becomes a parish church, but a center of spirituality where the friars wish to chant and pray with all the faithful, and particularly, to offer them the ministry of the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. Even the Friars Minor, settled on the hill of San Daniele, had their house of prayer. The consecration of the church took place on 22 October 1480, by the bishop Pietro De Bruti, titular of the diocese of Cattaro and Vicar of the diocesan bishop, Cardinal Battista Zeno. In the twentieth century the church was restored and embellished, after the degradation suffered in the nineteenth century, following the Napoleonic anticlerical laws and abandonment.
