Audiotour The Vosges Mountains

Alsace runs west to east from the pine-clad Vosges mountains through some of the most beautiful vineyards in France. These mountains played key role in Waltz’ ability to further exploit artistic perfection. Its stunningly rich landscape, including mountaintops, luminous forest and flowered small towns, seem to have deeply fueled his inspiration. He released numerous aquarelle paintings of the Vosges in his work Les Clochers dans les Vignes in 1929.
