Bridging times and places

Museum D Bastei is located in Nijmegen – the oldest city of Nijmegen – along Europe´s busiest navigated river Waal, and near to the rich wilderness and nature of the Gelderse poort. The museum connects past and present. The history of the river can be followed backwards in time, deep down to the formation of the landscape and the earliest human settlements on the city location.
