Welcome to Kilpeck. Although there is much on the internet about the remarkable church here and its carvings, nothing can be better than to come and see for yourselves. This guide is intended to draw attention to and possibly even explain a good many of the items that might be missed if they were not pointed out. I make no excuse for the words ‘possibly’ or ‘perhaps’ for so little can be established beyond doubt, that is why so many come again and again to look once more. So come and see for yourselves and wonder, even perhaps speculate what was in the medieval mind when these images were created, images that have been here unchanged for nearly nine hundred years.
