Madrid is many things; a city that never sleeps; stylish, open and friendly; a bit formidable, steeped in history and a thriving center for the arts. During our tour we will be visiting all the major museums and a few of the lesser known ones.
The start of our discovery begins along Paseo del Prado, the “Golden Triangle of Art” where we will explore the magnificent El Prado; the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum which many art experts consider to be the world’s most important private collection, and the youngest of Madrid’s three cornerstones of art, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía which is home to the 20th century’s most famous painting, Picasso’s "Guernica". Depending on your artistic taste any of the three might keep you spellbound for a full day. - 1 Museo Nacional del Prado
