Tour audio Driving Forces with Age Veldboom

The world famous (in Friesland) guide, skipper and museum founder Age Veldboom takes you on a 48 km cycle route. You may know him from the sports commentary for Skûtsjesilen.

During the tour from Drachten along the Veenhoop and back via Oudega, he will tell you all about it. We pass through the De Alde Feanen National Park near Earnewald and discover where you can find the entrepreneurial character of the region in the past and now.

Along the way, we will stop at a number of remarkable places where we zoom in on what drove people here, how they lived there and what smart solutions they came up with to make a living.

We pass a few places where there are catering options, but we definitely recommend bringing some snacks for the road.
