Audioguida Flying over Priolo Gargallo

A few years ago, when we planned to create a network between cultural sites of Priolo, somebody thought it was an idea coming from one of the most famous cities in Italy rather than from a little one of Sicily, moreover, better known for the presence of petrochemical industries than for historic and artistic treasures. Our fellow citizens understood us, they often mortified their pride, sacrificing it on the altar of the alleged industrial progress. Citizens of Priolo found a reason for revenge in the work carried out by municipal administration and the Rizza council with the support of LIPU, association Koiné, Legambiente, ENEL Archimede plant, Pontifical Commission of Sacred Archaeology, the Association Lamba Doria and the AIDIA-sec. of Syracuse. The call center of the municipal administration is able to receive bookings and organize guided tours of the sites belonging to the project “Flying over Priolo Gargallo”. Past and present merge in places that we have the moral duty to preserve and hand down to posterity, as witness of a Sicilian identity of which being more and more proud.
