Riguardo il museo
Ethnographic Museum of Maramures, organized in a modern vision, was open to the public in December 1971. It tries to illustrate the life of the peasants of Maramures, with its good and bad, from birth to death, during the four seasons of the year, accompanied by rituals, fears and joys.
Ethnographic Museums is organised in rooms arranged in open circuit and it is structured by main categories of the folk culture. There are presented icons on glass and wood, primary occupations, farming tools, tools used in domestic textile industry, the rustic furniture, peasant architecture, textiles, folk costumes, ceramics and winter habits of the historical Maramures.
