East from the city of Sciacca, at the foot of Mount Cronio, there is the “Enchanted Castle”
(Castello Incantato), the undisputed kingdom of the artist from Sciacca Filippo Bentivegna,
who declared himself lord of that land, giving himself the title of “Excellency”. We are
actually talking about a garden, where the artist realised about 20000 sculptures during his
whole life, among which you can only find now 3000 in the “Enchanted Castle”.
