Museu MYT @CRUM heaven

Välkommen till en grupputställning där myter, folkberättelser, sagor och legender från världens fem hörn möts på en plats. I mytologin har fem konstnärer hittat personliga ingångar till att skapa nya verk kring ämnen som sträcker sig mellan den Andre, essens, skapelseberättelsen, bön och mycket mer. De skriver om, gestaltar, överdriver och korrigerar historier.

Utställningen är skapad av Ministeriet, ett kollektiv av konstnärer som arbetat ihop i olika konstellationer de senaste fem åren. Den här gången medverkar Gloria Hao, Mi Tjio, Alex Rodallec, Rudy Loewe och Sofia Sipsa. I sitt arbete belyser och diskuterar de frågor kring identitet, ras, makt och alienation.

Mytologin bär historien in i vår tid, den bär på ett folks traditioner, rädslor och förhoppningar, den bär vår kultur. Genom att titta på mytologin reflekterar utställningen över vår historia och oss själva.

MYTH

Welcome to a joint exhibition where myths, folk tales, stories and legends from the five corners of the world meet in one place. In mythology five artists have found personal pathways to create new artwork on topics ranging between the Other, essence, stories of creation, prayer and much more. They rewrite, exaggerate and amend stories.

The exhibition is created by the Ministry, a collective of artists that have worked together in different constellations for the last five years. This time the participating artists are Gloria Hao, Mi Tjio, Rudy Loewe, Alex Rodallec and Sofia Sipsa. In their work they highlight and discuss questions around identity, power, alienation and race.

Mythology carries the stories into our time, it carries people traditions, fears and hopes, it carries our culture. By looking on mythology the exhibition reflects on our history and our selves.
