Leonid Fokin (1930–1985) - a realist painter, representative of the Leningrad painting school, a master of the genre painting and a successor of the Itinerants traditions. Fokin had a mastery to discover the integral artistic image and to embody it with vivid peculiar lines that we can find in the art of the grand artists as Surikov, Serov and Korovin.

Fokin's talent is matched with his competence that he got during all the stages of the Repin's painting school. Virtuosic master of drawing and sensitive colourist, Fokin created the energy-powerfull and also filled lyric artworks where he expressed the current epoch with a particular precision.
