The New Empire was the most prosperous period in all of Egyptian history after the golden age experienced in the Old Empire.

It is a period of refinement and evolution that spans a little more five centuries. It extends from approximately -1500 to -1000, and is made up of three dynasties: the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties.
