Welcome to the Pepoli Museum! In these pages we will lead you to discover an extraordinary place, a treasure chest of artistic masterpieces and ancient traditions. We will learn about its history and meet its founder, Count Agostino Pepoli, who dedicated long years of his life to this Museum, sparing no energy and resources. Perhaps you don't know that the Treasure of the Madonna of Trapani is preserved here, a collection of Sicilian jewels of exceptional value, a riot of shapes and colours! Here you can admire some masterpieces of Trapani coral art, the superb creations of Matteo Bavera, in which the red coral marries with the splendor of copper and silver and the various colors of the enamels. Our majolica floors will show you the ancient fishing techniques practiced for centuries in the Mediterranean: coral fishing, tuna fishing, the ancient ritual of slaughter. Our nativity scenes in coral, alabaster, marine materials, the wooden, canvas and glue figurines by Giovanni Matera will lead you to the discovery of a Sicilian pastoral world that has now inexorably disappeared. The Pepoli Museum preserves this and much more, so all we have to do is wish you a good trip!
