The Permian is the critical stage in the history of our planet, where we can see the changes from cold glacier period to warm period without glaciers, that lasted more than 200 million years. Modern oceans began to form. Tetrapod mastered the land, their diversity grew; large herbivorous and carnivorous reptiles – land vertebrates, which are at a higher level of development than amphibious – appeared. These cold-blooded animals had a more perfect circulation.

The Permian period ended with fast and massive extinction of Paleozoic organisms and the emergence of new forms of plant and animal life.
