The trip is ideal for those who are interested to explore Georgia beyond Tbilisi and to cover Georgia's most touristy sites that are located in Mtskheta. The travel is along paved road and no hiking is required.
Description
The trip begins at Respublika Square and heads to Jvari and from there to Svetitskhoveli - both world heritage sites. From there not-so-touristy trip to Shio Mghvime, beautiful monastery located in the picturesque nature setting. Shio Mghvime will require an additional 1-1.15 drive. The trip ends at Salobie Restaurant. The whole trip can hastily be accommodated in half day. But if interested to explore in detail, reserve a day for this tour.
