关于博物馆

New museum in Kabanbai village is an important point on the tourist’s route. Lake Alakol is famous worldwide for its healing qualities. Thanks to the growing number of tourists going to Alakol, the museum is becoming popular and helps to save spiritual and cultural heritage of the nation. Total exposition of the museum is about 3000 objects.

The museum has 7 halls: the hall of Urjar princess, , the hall of Archeology, the hall of Sacred places of East Kazakhstan , the hall of Independence, the hall of Nomadic culture, the hall of Ethnography, the hall of Nature.

This museum is a multifunctional institute of social mind, giving an opportunity to select, save and exalt the unique objects of nature and culture, passed down through the generations.
