Let's start the first quarter with the wall "We Are Basketball" on which you will find further information on the organisation of the Federation. 

Founded in 1932, FIBA is a non-profit organisation that tries to develop and promote basketball throughout the world. The basketball community gathers over 450 million players and fans worldwide. 

The Federation is the governing body for basketball in the world which organizes and oversees international competitions such as the FIBA World Cups, the Continental Championships, the Olympic tournament or 3X3.

FIBA is the only authority in the world of basketball recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
