博物馆 UCLM-General Library of the Albacete's Campus

Welcome to the general library of the Albacete campus of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. The general library serves all the faculties and centers located on the Albacete Campus.

The library has emerged in parallel with the buildings that have gradually made up the university campus. The construction, first of all, of the Melchor de Macanaz Business Legal Building meant that an area used as a library was built in that building. Later, the General Library would emerge in the José Prat building, which has had different phases of development. And finally, on the bio-sanitary campus, a library would be built in the Faculty of Medicine built in the immediate area of the University General Hospital.

The building was designed, in its initial set, by the architect Manuel Carrilero de la Torre and in a second expansion phase by the architects Manuel Pedro and Emilio Sánchez García. In 1995 it became necessary to expand the capacity of the General Library of the campus, for which the architects Emilio Sánchez García and Manuel Pedro Sánchez García designed a rectangular space that is attached to what exists on its right side.
