This became the first industrial area of the city. Later the Havenkwartier was built around the starting point of the Overijssel Channel.
After the departure of most companies, the area has changed a lot. Industrial heritage has been restored and given a different purpose. New construction often reminds of the past.
The walk takes you through the Raambuurt, Knutteldorp, the Havenkwartier and past the Pothoofd. It tells the story of emergence, decay and renewal.
The walk starts at the Penninckshuis on the Brink 89, where the VVV is located, and ends there too. The length of the walk is about 3.5 km and takes about 2 hours.
On the map you can see the walking route. You will also receive spoken directions.
