Welcome to the church of Santissimo Salvatore!

The church its also know as "Church-theatre" for its shape and function: from 1960 thanks to Franco Minissi and the cardinal of the time Ernesto Ruffini, became also an auditorium, from that day until today. This church have a very long history, probably founded by the conquer Roberto il Guiscardo, after the conquer of the city with his brother Ruggero in 1071. The second church was built in 1528 and the third in 1682 when, the architect Paolo Amato create a unique structure: an irregular dodecagon closed by an elliptic dome.
