Our tour will help you to discover the city that art lovers call Golden City of High Baroque, historians - the Florence of the North, and music lovers - the city of festivals. This is where Mozart was born, and it is here the world-famous Salzburg music festival is held annually.
Salzburg lies on both banks of the Salzach River, in the place where it is surrounded by two mountains - the Kapuzinerberg and the Mönchsberg. It is situated at the foot of the Alps at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The city is located about 300 kilometers from Vienna, 150 kilometers from Munich and just 5 kilometers from the border with Germany. Throughout its 13 centuries-long history, this city has always been strong and rich. "Here is happiness and there is nothing wrong" - it sounds as if it is an advertising slogan. But archbishops once ruling here, thought so. Today Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria with a population of about 150 thousand people. It attracts about 7 million tourists every year. - 1 Mirabell Palace
