The sculpture collection in Belluno's Civic Museums includes various objects that come from different places. The door coming from Santa Maria dei Battuti surely deserves a mention; it is an exceptional wood-carving job that most
likely goes back to the first half of the Fifteenth Century, containing some decorative motifs with rosettes from the pinwheel tunnel. The collection of Reinassance bronzes and the plaquettes some of which made by Valerio Belli,
Andrea Riccio and Moderno are equally of great value. The works made by Andrea Brustolon, one of the most important carvers and sculptors of his time, active in both religious works and in the creation of furniture, go back to the early
Eighteenth Century. The consoles and the mirror coming from Palazzo Fulcis were also created in his shop. In the Nineteenth Century there is the production of his Nineteenth-Century heir, Valentino Panciera Besarel, and then of his
daugher, Caterina. A shop that received commissions from all over Italy and Europe, capable of great virtuosity in wood carving. Works by Luigi Borro, Annibale De Lotto, Girolamo Bortotti and Augusto Benvenuti complete the collection.
