Bosques Telteca is an area cataloged as a Cultural Natural Reserve and a Managed Natural Reserve; protected since 1985 covers an area of 38,524 ha It is located in the department of Lavalle, 170 km from the city of Mendoza and is accessed by National Route No. 40 and National Route No. 142.
It is representative of the biogeographical ecoregion of Monte. It preserves a relict of centuries-old carob trees and other plant and animal species from the desert and is therefore a Fauna and Flora Sanctuary. The site has historically been the habitat of the descendants of the Huarpe aborigines.
It is an ideal place for activities related to bird watching, photography, cultural interpretive hiking, educational visits and also, Astrotourism.
