Old Swedes presents this digital gallery and art sale.  Preview each artwork by Brigadier General Kennard R. Wiggins, Jr..  Join us on April 1st on the Wilmington Art Loop to meet the artist and author with a signing of his new book, America's Anchors.

The author and artist, Brigadier General Kennard R. Wiggins, Jr., is a native of Newark, Delaware. A third generation Delaware Guardsman and a career Air Force veteran. A graduate of the University of Delaware, General Wiggins also holds a Master’s degree from National Defense University in National Resource Strategy. He is a veteran of over 37 years of service to the Air National Guard and the United States Air Force.

His new book, America's Anchors, is a naval history spanning three centuries of the Delaware Estuary. From the arrival of the Europeans to the end of the World War II. The author describes the shipbuilders, ships and the men who sailed this surprisingly active waterway both in peace and in war.
