Welcome to the main cemetery of The First Congregational Church of Greenwich, in Old Greenwich, CT. The church and cemetery land of 8 acres was purchased in 1835 from Ebenezer Peck's estate for almost $600. The cemetery alone is 4 acres. There are about 4,500 burials, many with no headstone or marker. The families with the most burials are Ferris (214), Lockwood (128), Palmer (124) and Peck (87). Look for several sundial monuments and benches for visitor comfort, mainly in the East section, with more in the Columbarium. There are many veterans of about six wars buried here.
