About the museum

Miehitysmuseo antaa yleiskatsauksen Viron yhteiskunnasta vuosina 1940-1991, jolloin Viro oli vuoroin Neuvostoliiton (1940-41), vuoroin Saksan (1941-44) ja vielä kerran Neuvostoliiton (1944-91) miehittämä. Peruslähtökohtana on selvittää, miten sorettu Viron yhteiskunta onnistui säilymään ja miten se heti ensimmäisen mahdollisuuden tultua heräsi ja palautti Viron itsenäisyyden.
