This walk combines the Neerijse village with the Loonbeek & Margijsbos guided walk. The total length is almost 10 km. The starting point is the Loonbeek car park, but alternatively you can start in Neerijse at the Donkerstraat car park. The app remembers the route traveled and you can start anywhere along the course.

Two loops connect through the Kamstraat  in Neerijse.

Twice we enjoy the view of the Dijle valley with the Meerdaalwoud on the other side. On the plateau of Duisburg/Leefdaal we also see the Voer valley. For these views we also climb up from the IJse valley twice to admire the landscape. We cross the Margijsbos, walk along the IJse and through sunken roads. We encounter two castles, one in Neerijse and one in Loonbeek with a watermill on the IJse. We see two breweries, an old tram station with a former dairy processing plant next to it and a tram bridge with a monument in memory of the steam tram; "Zwette Jean" . This is taking us back into the past.

There is catering in Neerijse, but not in Loonbeek.
