Audio tour Summary
Are you fascinated by stories, myths and legends, castles and their secrets? Then the western part of the Guttland region is the perfect place for you. Embark on a journey through time — from the Middle Ages all the way back to the Romans — as you ride through picturesque villages and ever-changing landscapes.
Your adventure begins in Mersch, in the heart of the country, and takes you through the enchanting Valley of the Seven Castles. A highlight in every season are the baroque castle gardens of Ansembourg. Between Goeblange and Nospelt, make sure to stop and explore the remains of a Roman villa hidden in the forest. In Kahler, striking street art pieces line the route, and in Steinfort, you’ll be spoilt for choice if you’re looking for a culinary stop. In Useldange, climb up the impressive castle and enjoy the panoramic view from above. The circular route also takes you through Rindschleiden — the smallest village in the country.
Parts of the route follow the “Grand Tour du Luxembourg”. You can simply follow the national signposting. However, the section closing the loop is not signposted, and the signage along the way only serves as an indication of route changes.
With the audio guide, you can immerse yourself acoustically in your surroundings and learn in a whole new way. Simply switch on the audio guide and as soon as you arrive at a place of interest with audio support, the recording will play automatically. You can also choose what you want to listen to on the map or in the list.
