The welfare commission, the president Lorenzo Leonetti and all the councilors of Town Hall 1 welcome you!

The itinerary includes a guided tour inside the Libertà district of Municipio 1.

The neighborhood was built in the early 1900s to cope with the population growth affecting the city. The name Libertà was chosen because the first buildings built had Art Nouveau features, including wrought iron railings with floral decorations.

Today a "difficult" neighborhood, marked by closed shops, poverty and problems concerning public order, a district of Bari that also hides a lot of beauty among its streets. Here, in fact, numerous late 19th/early 20th century buildings still "resist", some of which are in an evident state of decay, but others which, on the contrary, have maintained a splendid appearance thanks to successful restorations.

However, few know that real surprises are hidden among these architectural jewels.
